Measure the roll
Check roll length, outer diameter and any spindle or core requirements against the holder. A 9 by 13 inch opened refill bag is not a roll with those dimensions.
Allow for the mechanism
A roll that fits inside a cavity may still bind at the spindle or outlet. Ask the holder maker about the exact refill format rather than relying on the word universal.
Keep the purchase reversible
Save the model and refill identifiers and inspect an unopened pack on arrival. We have not tested dispensing, tearing force or compatibility with third-party holders.
Build a fit note
A useful holder note has spaces for its model, internal width, internal diameter allowance, spindle dimensions and accepted refill format. Obtain any missing clearance from the maker. Do not squeeze an oversized roll into a holder and treat that as verified compatibility. The refill bag width remains useful for comparing flat bags, but it answers a different question from the storage geometry.
